i want to be an accountant when im older but.....?
i want to be an accountant when im older but im doing work experience in a school cus i couldnt find anything to do with accounting or anything similar. but i dont know that if i go on to accounting that i will like it cus i havent had any experience in it. will going to a school stop me from getting a job ? will i like accouting if i dont do work experience ?

If you are detail oriented, like every penny in its place, and don't mind doing the same tasks over an over again, you may like it - on the other hand, if you don't mind when things are off, or you need excitement every day, I wouldn't go into the accounting industry.

Good luck, accounting often gets a poor press, but I trained as an architect in the 90's, then re-focused my life and trained as an accountant in the 00's, I'm now practising and enjoying the different aspects of the job. Why don't you contact a couple of your local accounting companies, to see if they would let you spend a few days through the school holidays, to get an idea of the profession, and enable you to make an informed decision for your future.
