Is there a market for freelance accountants?
I am a Chartered Accountant with 17 years experience, 7 years in a large audit firm and 10 years working for a large media company, but would like to investigate the possibility of going freelance. From what I can see from trawling the web, most opportunities seem to be in the tax and bookkeeping areas, whereas my skills are in general financial management and commerice.

I'm sure there is a market for general accounting services. Check the requirements for a practicing certificate ( unless you already have this) i also know some people who take short term contracts and temp.
