Answer 1 :
Decide which Accountancy body you want too qualify under. There are four main Chartered Bodies :- The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. Chartered Management Accountants. Chartered Public Finance Accountants. There are two aspects to Qualifying as an Acountant. One is, passing the exams of your chosen Accountancy body, and the second is, obtaining the approved professional training/experience. It is not normally essential that they both be achieved at the same time, you must be accepted/registered as a student with your chosen accountancy body, however, before you commence studying for the exams. They will be happy to provide you with full details on application to become a student. Of course, there are entry requirements to become a student, usually 'A Levels', although the ICAEW, I believe, are degree entry only. If you want to work in a professional office, you would have to qualify with one of the first two bodies stated above. I Qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant.

In college, they have a catalog with all the majors that they offer. It will tell you which classes to take, and when. Probably need alot of math classes..
Answer 3 :
One way is to ask an accountant what they recommend. but in general it would be a degree in finance, and then some studies and experience to take the CPA exam, assuming that is what you mean by accountant. there are many different careers for accountants . Studying finance will show you what the possibilities are.
Answer 4 :
contact your local ACCA organisation, this is the largest international body for accounting. You do exams for CAT technician(Certified Account Technician) and then become a full accredited ACCA professional. They have courses to suit your needs, i.e. part-time and flexible. The entry requirements are not so stringent. There is just an age limit. If however, you have a Bachelor in Business Studies or similiar you may be exempt from the first two papers. They have a list of all of the exempt universities. Look it up here. www.accaglobal.com If you have any further questions feel free to ask me. : )
Answer 5 :
Ask your boss if he/ she'd concider sneding you to collage. The fees would be taken from your wages in the long run, but you'd both benefit from the education.
