Ah, the smiling assassin, he can prove anything with figures. It refers to an accountant or such like, is it a quote or what

Answer 1 :
I have heard the term used for many different professions & people, but it all means the same thing. They are smiling while they are 'killing you', be it with figures, words or otherwise
Answer 2 :
I always thought it was lawyers and politicians
Answer 3 :
I've never heard that particular quote before, but it's meaning is rather obvious. An assassin is one who kills people. If an accountant has a grudge and wants to make someone he works for look really bad, he can "cook the books" so that they really look as though his boss has been stealing money from the company, even though it isn't true. In this way, he might kill his bosses chances of remaining in his job, or the boss may possibly even go to jail, even though he is innocent. The accountant sits there "smiling" to himself because he got revenge on his boss by "assassinating" his bosses' good, honest reputation. Thus, he has become a "character assassin" who performed a "character assassination."

Look online for an Accountant in your area. Phone an Insurance Broker for Insurance quotes. Use a comparison site for van Insurance as you would for a car. Register with HMRC as self employed and they will send you all you need to know.

It depends on the location. Go to yahoo hotjobs http://hotjobs.yahoo.com and click on career tools, then Salary. (or just click here: http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/salary ) You should be able to find the info you are looking for.
Answer 2 :
yeah about 3 gazillion US dollars in British sterling that's about 1.5 gazillion its good salary if you are prepared to work for it. If I hadn't of gone to oxford university, I would not have got that promotion and now I'm earning 2000000000000000000000000000000000 million a year, it really is the sweet life.
Answer 3 :
The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career.
