Answer 1 :
Ask your accountant what he needs.
Answer 2 :
If you are going to keeps books properly then you can buy actually on eBay account books with incoming and outgoings and how you fill that in is obvious...... all the money you have coming in and all the money you have going out......... or you can just keeps receipts and other information such as bank statements anything with the same info on but i think the accounts ledger (the book) is the best idea
Answer 3 :
You'll need to keep documents of actual costs that you incur. Separate the costs by category, such as shipping & handling costs, supplies (boxes, etc.), fees (such as ebay fees), and then actual sales prices. These items all need to be separated out when preparing your books and your tax return.
Answer 4 :
Sales Purchases Expenses (postage package etc.) Administrative expenses (Accountants Fees, bank charges, Petrol, Office, office supplies, Telephone etc. anything actually used (wholly used) to run the business) Oh , internet charges. Have a seperate bank account from your own personal one. Then you can record payments received and cheques paid out. VAT if you are registered

Answer 1 :
You can keep your accounts yourself, but I HIGHLY recommend that you use an accountant to prepare your tax returns. Accountants are the ones who know and keep up on changes in tax laws and tax forms. That's their profession. It can be overwhelming to try to keep up on such things if you are not a dedicated accountant.
